Times have changed since the first presentation of roses during the
Kentucky Derby of 1884, but not the rose symbol and what it represents today. In keeping with the Churchill Downs tradition and the symbolic rose, Boardman
Silversmiths has designed and created a specialty giftware product line as a tribute to the deepest traditions of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby®.
Boardman Silversmiths, through a license agreement with Churchill Downs, is now an official manufacture of the first
ever luxury, "RUN FOR THE ROSES" giftware collection, in sterling, silver plate, gold vermeil, 14kt gold and pewter.
Each piece is hand-crafted in the old traditional way of pewtersmithing and silversmithing. All materials used to manufacture pewter, sterling and silver plate are perfectly safe for serving food and drink, and conform to the U.S.
standards.
